Cancun Accesible

My partner and I traveled from Michigan to Playa del Carmen in February 2026. We communicated ahead of time with Cancun accessible to arrange transportation from/to the airport, rent a lift/hoist, as well as a shower chair, and also reserved them for an outing to see to Chichen Itza, a cenote, and the village of Villadolid. They were great to work with. Very courteous and very concise. We had a miscommunication regarding the type of shower chair I needed and what was delivered but the company was graciously able to swap the correct chair out the very very next day after I told them. Do your best when working with the company to communicate exactly what you need and double check it before arriving in Cancun. The one thing I will say is that the ramp to get into their van is pretty steep and there are no guard rails. I did it in my power chair, and whenever I exited the van, I went down backwards since I have a front wheel style power chair and that kept me from tipping. If I was to give one piece of advice to the company, it would be to deploy your ramp onto a sidewalk while the van is on the road, if the sidewalk is higher than the road; this will make the ramp less steep. Travelers, take your time going down the ramp. The drivers spoke a decent amount of English but had their limits. I knew some Spanish and learned terms and phrases pertaining to my wheelchair, which worked out really well so do a little brushing up or have enough data to use a translation app. Overall, communication was pretty good. On that note, our driver, Luis Cordero, was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Overall, this is a fantastic service. Courteous and diligent, and fairly priced. Take them up on an excursion. I’m in a power chair and found that going down. The ramp backwards made me feel more secure, you just need to go very slow. The drivers spoke a decent amount of English but had its limits.
